Peohe's Sushi Bar opened to an enthusiastic audience in the summer of 2000. Initially operating just four nights a week, Peohe's quickly expanded the schedule to fulfill the demand for sushi on the Coronado waterfront. Open seven nights a week.

Being the first Sushi Chef in the Chart House chain is 'a'ole pilikia for Chef Myles Uyehara. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Chef Myles knew he wanted to cook from early on. He was formally trained in the art of Sushi under former chef, instructor and mentor, Lee Allen of Tommy Tsunami's, Denver, CO. In 1997, Myles returned to Honolulu where he continued his training under Sushi Chef Nobuo Kishimoto of California Beach Rock 'N Sushi.

In May of 2000, Chef Myles came to Peohe's to assist in opening a waterfront sushi bar. Following the grand opening in July, Peohe's Sushi Bar quickly became a favorite for local islanders. At Peohe's, sushi is more than food or art form, it is an opportunity to push the boundaries of creativity. Two of Chef Myles' most popular creations include the New Wave Sashimi Menu and the Surf 'N Turf roll. The Surf 'N Turf roll is a basic Lobster California Roll (lobster, avocado, cucumber, rice and nori) wrapped in seared Filet Mignon. No Ka Oi!

Due to its popularity, reservations are not accepted for Peohe's Sushi Bar - seating is first-come, first-served.
